The prophet Malachi wrote:

“Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?”   (Malachi 2:10)

Malachi equates the “one God” with “the Father” or creator of all men. Passages like this reveal how the term “God the Father” became a replacement for the Old Testament holy name of God.

It is not intellectually honest to interpret "one Father" as the "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit" in unity! One Father is one father. This one Father became a man, and lived and experienced our human existence.
