According
to the apostle Paul, the “Son” is defined as that which was “made of
a woman.” In the book of Galatians, we read:
“But when the fulness of the time was
come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the
law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might
receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent
forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then
an heir of God through Christ.” (Galatians 4:4-7)
God’s Son was
“made of a woman” according the Bible. The word “made” in the
Geek is ginomai,
which
means, “to come into existence.” Of course, the Son “came into
existence” in the womb of Mary. This child was the Son of God or Son
of Man—God incarnate in human flesh.
Paul also wrote
that we are a “heir of God through Christ,” we can understand that
through the sacrifice of the Son of Man--God incarnate--we can
ascend into God's immutable presence.
This human
being who is God incarnate is the mediator of heaven, who
sends the Holy Spirit into the world. It is through this man "made
of a woman" that we can receive the presence of God into our
lives.
